Oh wow! Second blog post in less than a year! 😀
Joke aside now, just a quick update to let everyone know that I just discovered the Amazon Amplify thingy. Yeah I get it, it’s not really news-worthy but like I said, I just discovered it and I switched this blog’s hosting platform on it.
Well, before that it was still on AWS, on a EC2 Debian10 box. And before that was on a reaspberry pi in a closet in my house. So kind of a big step forward…
Discovered it by mistake, was reading some Nuxt documentation and I thought it would be fun to try it nd really liked it. It connects to your gitHub repo, you can define you build steps in a yaml format, you can even add your own custom domain (as a proof – look at the address bar right now!). You can set up your unit tests, build steps and what-not, and with ever commit/merge into the watched branch, it automatically triggers a build/deployment. Cool, huh? It’s got some really cool and easy-to-follow step-by-step guides and poof! A few hours later… ta-dah!
Is this goonna be the “forever home” for this blog? Hell knows… probably not.
See you later!
